Here is a game that suites all. Simple no brainer game. Good for killing time while you are waiting for someone. Simple enough for small kids. Young adults would not get any kicks out of this game. Not a typical game that you would buy since you could get it easily for free on the Internet gaming sites. Sites like Neopets, etc would have this kind of games given out freely for people to access.

Sony has always been very strong in Japan and now it seems that the PSP is taking on the Nintendo DS in a big way. According to a Gamasutra article, Media Create, which is a market research firm, has come out with data that suggests that Sony PSP has outsold the Nintendo DS for the first time in over a year.

The weekly hardware figures by Media Create in Japan were for the week ending September 16, 2007. There has been a huge leap in the sales of over 79,923 units to a total of 95,487, all credited to the launch of the PSP Slim and Lite and the release of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. However, it is not known how many of the consoles were the original PSPs or the Slim and Lite ones. As for the Nintendo DS, the Media Create data shows that the handheld console continues to suffer unusually stumpy sales. Even though there was a small increase of 2,501 units, it managed to hit only 79,989 units. Also, there were no reports of momentous stock problems.

The Wii, PS3 and PS2 also showed a decrease in the sales, but those weren’t that vital. However, it is noteworthy that the PSP is topping the Nintendo DS in Japan, as Nintendo’s handheld is one of the top selling consoles around.

This should not come as any surprise. Yes, Sony still find it difficult to embrace the Homebrew community. Too much worry about short term profits and fear of eating into their game software sales make them unable to see clearly what lies ahead for them.

Jackass: The Game,” from Red Mile Entertainment for the Sony PlayStation Portable, is based on the hit MTV show and two movies and is all about silly stunts.

Not unlike the “Jackass” television show and feature films, this PSP action game lets you choose to be one of their favorite Jackass characters - such as Steve-O, Ryan Dunn and Johnny Knoxville, each of whom resemble their real-life counterparts - and compete in ridiculous events. For example, you can race a shopping cart against an opponent to see which player can reach the finish line first - but you’re on top of a skyscraper, so if you don’t stop the cart fast enough you’ll end up over the edge, plunging to your death.

This mature game is bizarre, funny and fresh. Kudos to Chapel Hill, N.C., developer Vicious Cycle Software for delivering a gratifying portable entertainment experience.

Rockstar Games announced on 24th August 2007 that it will release Manhunt 2 for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, and the Wii™ home video game system from Nintendo in North America on October 31, 2007. This announcement follows the submission of a modified version of Manhunt 2 to the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), who has now rated the title “M” for Mature for ages 17 and older.In June, Take-Two was compelled to suspend the release of the horror title when the ESRB issued an AO (Adults Only) rating.“Manhunt 2 is important to us, and we’re glad it can finally be appreciated as a gaming experience,” said Sam Houser, founder and executive producer of Rockstar Games. “We love the horror genre. Manhunt 2 is a powerful piece of interactive story telling that is a unique video game experience. Manhunt 2 is the debut title from the newly formed Rockstar London studio, which is developing the game in conjunction with series creator Rockstar North. Early previews of Manhunt 2 have consistently praised the game’s original design and creative use of narrative, tone, and atmosphere to evoke an experience many consider unmatched in video games. The Wii version is being developed by Rockstar Toronto.

Video games rated Mature are for consumers ages 17 and older and are not intended for children. Along with the Mature rating, the ESRB also assigned the following content descriptors to Manhunt 2: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content and Use of Drugs.
